Project Profile: P.T. Top Foods Indonesia

P.T. Top Foods Indonesia
The Project:

The new building is to be constructed on a green field site in Jakarta (Indonesia). The site is approx. 31,000 m2 and the new factory will be 14,500 m2, plus yards, parking and workshop facilities. An area of 4,000 m2 has been set aside for a coconut juice packing facility. This equates to a coverage of 60% as required by the local building codes.

Scope of Works

Foodesco is providing a full internal fit out design and specifications for all of the production areas. These include Fresh Fruit processing 5,00 coconuts and Jack fruits/day – Noodle production 2,000 kg/day– Meat Ball 2,000 kg/day, Fish Cake processing 1,000 kg/day – Dumplings 1,500 kg/day - Chicken Meat processing 6,500 kg/day – Sauce production 7,000 kg/day – Juice production 2,500 kg/day. All of these products are currently being produced in the existing factory. Foodesco’s brief was to improve the production facilities to increase the shelf life, and ensure that the new facilities would enable Top Foods to expand the output for the future. There was also to be a new Ready Meals area included so that new and innovative products could be manufactured.

The new facility should be designed to the highest standards to ensure that no market would be closed to the company at any time in the future.

Foodesco was commissioned by P. T. Top Foods in association with TeamworX in Jakarta. They would be responsible for the design of the building shell and the co-ordination of the onsite construction up to the beginning of the internal Fit Out. Foodesco would then provide additional expertise to ensure that the quality of the fit out was constructed according to specification.

The Facilities

There is a full set of master storage facilities provided for ambient, chilled and frozen goods. These will be temperature controlled as required by the requirements of the materials to be stored.

The production areas have been designed with complete separation of all low risk and high risk facilities with the high risk area fully protected from Cross Contamination.

All processing areas will be temperature controlled as per the International standards requirements.

Whilst the majority of the production is to service the existing and future chilled requirements of the business, additional facilities have been added so that frozen production is included to give additional shelf life for the future possible export opportunities.
